Not so Dapper Deal: Naked Juice at Target Vs. Costco - Don't be fooled!

One of my favorite things to post are Not So Dapper Deals because I think it's so important to know that although bulk-selling stores like Sam's Club and Costco usually give the best price, they don't always. When I find a significant price difference, I like to post one of these! See below for today's on Naked Juice!
Picture
Costco:
  1. Sells for $17.16 for a Variety 12 pk. of 10 oz. bottles
  2. $4 Instant Savings Available
  3. Final price = $17.16 - $4 = $13.16
  4. Unit price per ounce: $13.16/120 = $0.10967
Target:
  1. Sells for $2.69 for a 15.2 oz. bottle
  2. $1/1 Target Coupon available in Back to School Savings Booklet + $1/1 Manufacturer Coupon available HERE
  3. Final price = $2.69 - $1 - $1 = $0.69
  4. Unit price per ounce: $0.69/15.2 = $0.04539

So, as you can see, the price per ounce varies greatly. When you have the chance you use coupons at a grocery or drug store, you'll most likely beat the deals at Costco or Sam's Club. If there aren't any coupons, the bulk stores are better. But, my best suggestion is just to do your research before going out :)

CVS: Nestlé Pure Life Water - Only need 1 computer to print your coupons - not 6 ;)

And... if you don't need to stock up, you may want to try THIS bottled water deal rather than the one from this morning ;)
  1. Buy two 24 pack cases of Nestlé Pure Life Bottled Water for $2.79 each
  2. Use two $1/1 Nestlé Water Multipack CVS Coupons
  3. Use one $1.50/2 Nestlé Pure Life Purified Water Packs Manufacturer Coupon
  4. Total = $2.79 X 2 = $5.58 - $1 - $1 = $3.58 - $1.50 = $2.08 (just $1.04 per 24 Pack! This is a better deal than Sam's Club, which has 35 Packs for $3.98! Wow!!)

Sam's Club Unit Price Per Bottle = $3.98/35 = $0.1137
CVS Unit Price Per Bottle = $1.04/24 = $0.0433

I had to post this Not So Dapper Deal, as I went to Sam's Club this morning and saw so many people walking out with cases of the Nestlé Pure Life Water. It may seem like the best idea to just go to these bulk stores and purchase your items, but if it's not a deal, WHY??

Not so Dapper Deal: Organic Eggs

So, what's the big hype about organic eggs? Is it worth it? It really comes down to how healthy and sanitary you want your food to be. Yes, my family eats organic eggs. However, if you can't afford organic eggs, it won't kill you. BUT, if you find an AMAZING deal, why not?

This is a another NOT SO DAPPER DEAL! Pay attention to these because it will save you some big $$$ that you didn't think would happen at Sam's Club or Costco. These big, bulk-selling stores draw you in thinking that all their products are the absolute lowest price since you buy in bulk. BUT, that is NOT the case all the time! Here's one instance on organic eggs, and there's a HUGE difference!

Costco:
  1. Kirkland Organic Cage-free Eggs 2 dozen for $8.22 (that's $4.11 per dozen)
  2. They don't accept coupons, so no additional discounts apply.
  3. Final cost per dozen: $4.11
Target:
  1. Simply Balanced Organic Cage-free Eggs 1 dozen for $2.69 (That's at my store - apparently they are around $4 at most other stores. Guess I just got lucky!)
  2. Regardless, $4 is still a better price ALONE with NO coupons than Costco.
  3. On top of that price, there's a $0.75/1 Simply Balanced Cage-free Eggs 1 Dozen Target Coupon available to print
  4. There's also a 5% Simply Balanced Organic & Cage-free Eggs Target Cartwheel Offer
  5. Final cost per dozen: $4 - $0.75 = $3.25 X 0.95 = $3.09
  6. AND... if you happen to have a store like mine, here's YOUR final cost: $2.69 - $0.75 = $1.94 X 0.95 = $1.84! WOW!

If this comparison doesn't make you motivated to clip a few coupons and download the Cartwheel app (if you don't have already), then I don't know what will! Look at the difference and ask yourself, is this worth it? Obviously, YES IT IS! Go go go!
